Wilhaggin History (Written in the 1970's)

A service of

Welcome to the Wilhaggin Neighborhood Association's website. We are glad you decided to visit us.  Please take a look at the following information and join our Association.

During the period from Jan. 1, 2009, through Jan. 31, 2010 the Wilhaggin Neighborhood Association's extended duty Sheriff's Officers made 9 arrests, stopped 517 suspicious vehicles, monitored another 138 suspicious vehicles, issued 94 citations, and stopped 57 suspicious persons in Wilhaggin.  This law enforcement activity is only possible because of the WNA members who have each paid $275/year for the Sheriff's extended duty patrol.  This is less than one dollar per day

The Wilhaggin Neighborhood Association is a non-profit organization run by volunteer homeowners who are your neighbors.  We all live in Wilhaggin.  The sole purpose of our organization is safety and we contract with the Sheriff for WNA patrols.  We started in the Fall of 2006 and our membership grew quickly so that we could  increase our Sheriff's patrol shifts from four to seven per week.  These shifts are six hours each.  These are uniformed, Sacramento County Sheriff's Officers in patrol cars who, because of our contract, are working extra or extended duty for just Wilhaggin.  Unfortunately, due to an increase in Sheriffs' costs we  had to reduce our shifts to five per week.

Each Deputy serving a shift has our dedicated cellphone.  Once you become a member you will get the cellphone number and can call it with any non emergency concerns.  In a true emergency, call 911.  911 calls are automatically routed to a WNA Deputy if there is a shift at that time.

The private side of our website, for members only, features:  Address Book of members, Announcements, and much more.  Also, our special feature is Crime Watch.  This link gives members access to the Deputy's patrol schedule, private cell phone number for the officer, resident reported incidents, and other important information provided exclusively for us by the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department.
