Welcome to the Wilhaggin Neighborhood Association's website. We are glad you decided to visit us.  Please take a look at the following information and join our Association.
The Wilhaggin Neighborhood Association is a non-profit organization run by neighborhood volunteers.  Since our neighborhood is designated a response only area, there is a police presence here, only  when a crime is committed.

We all live in Wilhaggin.  The sole purpose of our organization is safety.  We contract with the Sheriff for WNA patrols.    The deputies you see on our streets are there because we have hired off-duty sheriffs.  Since we started we have had a significant decline in incidents.  Even though it may loom large for you if you are a victim, it's one of the lowest crime rates, if not the lowest in Sacramento, according to the Sheriff's Department.

We started in the Fall of 2006 and our membership grew quickly so that we could  increase our Sheriff's patrols.  These shifts are six hours each.  These are armed and uniformed Sacramento County Sheriff's Officers in patrol cars who, because of our contract, are working extra or extended duty for just Wilhaggin.  Unfortunately, due to an increase in Sheriffs' costs we  had to reduce our shifts to five per week.  A vacation watch on your home is also available to members.

Each Deputy serving a shift has our dedicated cellphone.  Once you become a member you will get the cellphone number and can call it with any non-emergency concerns.  In a true emergency, call 911.  Calls are automatically routed to a WNA Deputy if there is a shift at that time.  This law enforcement activity is only possible because of the WNA members who have each paid $275. each year for the Sheriff's extended duty patrol.  This is less than one dollar per day

The private side of our website, for members only, features:  Address Book of members, Announcements, and a score of other sections.  Our special feature is Crime Watch. We send out email bulletins to notify members of any incidents of which we are aware. This link gives members access to the Deputy's patrol schedule, private cell phone number for the officer, resident reported incidents, and other important information provided exclusively for us by the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department.
